Knoxville dental practice responds to backlash over video
The website and social media channels of a dental practice in Knoxville, TN have gone dark after a video showing employees reading from a patient's journal was posted on social media. Premier Dental Group of Knoxville addressed the ensuing criticism in a series of social media posts before taking down its Facebook page and the office's website. A statement and apology appeared on the practice's Google profile. The statement said the employees involved have been dismissed. "Premier Dental Group of Knoxville is aware of a recent incident involving an inappropriate video created and shared by some of our employees that addressed an individual's medical condition in a disrespectful and unprofessional manner," the statement said. "We deeply regret this incident and the hurt it has caused." The practice said it will be reviewing its policies and procedures to prevent a similar occurrence.Read more here
